Lockbin Add-in for Outlook Makes Email Encryption Easy

Since 2008, Lockbin.com has been the web destination for creating free encrypted email messages online. Thousands of people use Lockbin to secure email messages and file attachments.

Recently, Lockbin introduced an add-in to Microsoft Outlook that makes the entire process of sending an encrypted email message very easy. The add-in integrates Lockbin tightly into Outlook's sending process.
The add-in is free. Account at Lockbin.com is required to use the add-in. Accounts can be easily setup, and come in two flavors:  free and premium.  A free account provides the typical Lockbin tier of services, while a $4.95 per month premium account adds a bit more functionality.  Either account will work fine with the Lockbin add-in for Outlook.

Adding email encryption to Outlook using Lockbin is very straightforward. Run the installer package, enter your account information, and you're good to go.

To send an encrypted message with Lockbin, open a new email message in Outlook, type your message and add file attachments, click the Lockbin button and send your message. Your message is securely routed to the Lockbin server where it is held until the recipient retrieves the message. Your email never actually traverses the internet; rather it is stored on the Lockbin server and the recipient is sent a notification message alerting him or her to the presence of the message. Messages are stored until they are retrieved, or for six months, whichever comes first.
Encrypted messages sent using the Lockbin add-in for Outlook may be managed in your online Lockbin account.  Premium users can remove messages, resend notification messages, or view the ip address of the recipient.

Thanks to Lockbin.com, email encryption doesn't have to be complicated.  Download the free Lockbin email encryption add-in for Outlook and get started today!
